History

Coachmen RV first appeared in 1964 when they rolled out twelve travel trailers designed specifically with the interests and needs of RV owners in mind. This set a precedent for the future of their company, which continued to roll out more trailers year after year that were consistently a popular choice among consumers. The company expanded to international markets and they became particularly well known for superior features and amenities. They’re also widely known for their lightweight trailers, making them popular among the more adventurous travelers that don’t want their RV to limit where they can explore.

Since they opened their doors, Coachmen RV has built over 750,000 RVs and only continues to grow year after year. Recently, they expanded their operations with a new 220-acre manufacturing facility and in 2008 became part of the RV juggernaut, Forest River, giving them better access to better resources without forcing them to give up their commitment to their customers.
