1. Check the Tires

The RV tires are one of the most important parts of your camper. An issue with a tire can cause a range of problems, from reduced fuel efficiency to a dangerous blowout on the road!

Tires should be checked regularly. Be sure to measure the tread depth and ensure it is within the manufacturer's recommendations. Tread gets worn down over time and eventually there won't be enough left to safely maintain traction on the road.

It's also important to measure the tire air pressure, particularly before a road trip. If the tires are underinflated or overinflated, adjust them so that they match the manufacturer's recommendations.

Finally, check the tires for signs of damage or excess wear.

2. Clean the Exterior

To keep your RV looking its best, clean the exterior regularly. Wash with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly. It's also wise to wax your camper in order to protect the finish.

3. Inspect the Roof

The roof is another important part of your RV that needs regular attention. Inspect it for cracks, leaks, or other damage. 

If you find any problems, have them repaired as soon as possible to avoid further damage.

4. Check the Lights

All the lights on your RV should be in good working order. This includes the headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals. Not only is it important for safety, but it will also help you avoid getting pulled over.

5. Test the Plumbing

The plumbing system in your RV should be checked regularly for leaks or other problems. To test the system, fill all the sinks and run the water for a few minutes. Then check under the sinks for any leaks. The toilet should also be flushed to ensure it is working properly.
