Think About Space Needs

Consider how big you want your motorhome to be. This is largely influenced by the size of your travel party. You'll need at least as many beds as campers, though it may be wise to get an extra bed or two so that you can host friends or extended family.

Your space needs are also influenced by your travel style. Some folks don't mind a compact space while others want larger living areas to spread out in. Think about what you need to be comfortable on your vacations.

Choose a Type of Motorhome

Motorhomes are broken down into three categories known as classes.

The largest option is the Class A motorhome. They resemble a bus with their flat front and panoramic front window. Thanks to their large size, they can accommodate amenities such as multiple bathrooms or extra closet space.

The mid-sized option is the Class C motorhome. They sport a truck chassis and can offer a balance of size and price point.

The smallest option is the Class B motorhome. They look more like a van and, due to space restrictions, are often more basic in their features.
